It’s that time again. Everywhere I’m seeing rankings of the most-anticipated new fall TV series—and there are a lot of them! Apparently there are four new shows with the word “Man” in the story. The only one I’m aware of is The Gifted Man, which has me curious, I must say. I’ve been watching the trailers for any hint of what his gift might be, but so far, not a clue. I think someone’s has passed on, but I’m not sure if it’s him or the woman, who may be his wife. Or maybe no one’s passed on. As I said, I’m confused.
I’m looking forward to Person of Interest. The surveillance aspect and the idea that you can stop crime before it happens is fascinating, but I’m also intrigued by the casting and the characters. A CIA agent and a genius should make for some interesting teamwork. Can’t wait!
I’m also looking forward to Pan Am. I love period pieces, but this particular period is irresistible for many reasons, not the least of which is the chance to relive the days when you could fly without being tortured in security lines!
For sitcoms, the two that feature quirky women sound promising, Whitney and Two Broke Girls. I’m curious about Two and a Half Men with Ashton Kutcher, which will be new to me because I may be the one person left in the country who hasn’t watched the show.
Unforgettable is another one that has me interested, mostly because I can’t figure out what’s going on from the trailer, but it’s clear that someone is having memory issues. I hope the show is as mysterious as the one promo I’ve seen.
But my most anticipated TV series is a returning show, not a new one. I’ve loved every season of The Good Wife more than the last, and can’t wait for it to be back on the air!
What new shows have you intrigued? Or are you sticking with the tried and true? Apparently a lot of the old shows were canceled in order to make way for the record number of new ones this season. I hope none of those missing were among your favorites.
Happy viewing!

There are a few fairy tale inspired shows and I’m looking forward to Grimm and Once Upon a Time. I want to see Pan Am, too.
So far I’m too busy with school to watch much of anything! Maybe when things calm down a bit.
Grimm! That’s the one I forgot. I hadn’t heard about Once Upon a Time, but I’m intrigued by the title. Thanks for the heads up, Jane.
Darla, bless your heart! Of course, you don’t have time to think about TV right now. You probably drop into a chair at night and watch whatever’s on, if you have time for that with all the studying.
I’m wishing you well, girl!
I may check out Ringer tonight. I am really looking forward to the return of NCIS. NCIS is pretty much the only show on network tv that I watch regularly. Unfortunately my kids’ sports activities means I usually end up watching it on the internet after it has already aired. Better late than never.
NCIS has always been on the wrong night for me and I never seem to get to the shows I tape. Everyone raves about it, though, so I know it’s got to be a great show.
I tried to watch Ringer, but I had a long day yesterday and was pooped, so I snoozed through most of it. Interesting concept, though, and I was a bit of a Buffy fan, so curious on that front.
